We have moved in! Our mailing address is PO Box 5291, Cobargo, NSW, 2550.
Our storage unit is empty

We rented a trailer and Betty White (the truck) towed it back and forth twice. That did it. There are now more things in the house

We have been putting furniture together (hunting down missing pieces), collapsing lots of boxes, killing several spiders, and meeting some of our neighbors.
This spider had early residence and has not been killed but I think may now have migrated outside. Not super poisonous. Scott named her Gladys.

I have not been keeping up with the blog. Instead, I have been unpacking and cleaning things.
Most of my effort the last couple of days has been on arranging and re-arranging kitchen supplies. Pretty happy with it but going shopping today so that may change my needs!

Those two jars on the right are also my first attempt at doing something with the 100+ ripe tomatoes in our garden. Think canning is in our future but maybe not quite there yet.
Keep finding big and small things to put on the shopping lists. Today was toothpicks, hot sauce and a grater. We also ordered a microwave, printer, vacuum and other fun toys that needed putting together and registration etc. Fun with more boxes!

We have also managed to get a mattress on the bed. This sounds simple but isn't. The house isn't in a delivery zone. Items that they say will come to the house either get returned to sender, go to the post office or go to the coop. The mattress went to the coop. We had the moving trailer so went to pick it up. While heavy, the box wasn't super big.

It comes under fairly high pressure.

Scott made fun of my incisions but I was just following the natural planes of the wrap with scissors (no blades)

I must have nicked a layer because it kept expanding as I was trying to remove the plastic. Finally, it gave that sound of a viscus (sorry non-vets) being opened and the gas being released. No one was harmed and it seems to have expanded.

We also got the twin bed set up after finding the missing parts. This is the office/spare bed/TBD workspace.

We went into town today to get some paperwork done and stopped for a short walk along the bay. Tide was in and so were the manta rays! In this picture he is moving parallel to the boardwalk, diamond shaped body in the center of the image, tail angled toward the bottom right corner.

We have been socializing (in very small amounts). More to come! Frequently thinking of our Minnesota friends and family. Please stay safe.
