Playing freeze tag (with birds and containers)
The whipbird has an amazing call and is hard to catch with the camera as evidenced below:
For the last one, you can see its tail as it flies behind the tree. And these are the shots we saved! This video is also amazing (not mine) and has the call about 1 minute in:
I felt it was appropriate to have the sensation of whipping around in circles for this blog.
Our container is ready for release! As of Friday afternoon. Monday is a holiday. We want to leave for our anniversary trip on the 1st (Weds). This is not computing.
Back to the beginnings. Our anniversary is Oct 5 and we hit 25 years in 2021. Right in the middle of pandemic isolation. Rather than the sailboat adventure in the Virgin Islands, we went for a walk in Green Lake Park in Shoreview. It was lovely. However, we decided to try again for 30 years. We have rented a houseboat in Myall Lakes Oct 3-7. Being as we are retired, we were going to take our time getting up there. No, our truck is not yet here so we have a rental car arranged. And two motel nights along the way. Oh well. We still have a rental car and have cancelled the motels so we can better adjust our travel. Luckily, Kristy (Scott's sister) is willing to supervise the unloading if we are gone. However, we can't really get info until Tuesday.
I also packed the boxes in the container for 1) not needed until we have a home of our own and 2) needed for camping and summer weather (eg as expected in Myall Lakes). We had a strict weight limit on planes for getting here so I packed for the more early spring conditions down south at Potato Point. I also put my new kitchen knives in my luggage so they didn't rust on the boat. Minimal other gear including swim suits and shorts!
So we are now practicing patience and flexibility. [Those of you that know me can now stop laughing.] Tuesday will likely be a late start up north with stops along the way to pay for delivery and buy more clothes!
Still enjoying ourselves. This little guy can wandering across the yard right in front of us yesterday.
